A range of Porter fitted out Wayfarers, Wanderers and Gulls are now available from Ian Porter. The boats are generally delivered as bare mouldings and then the small team in Emsworth finish them and fit them out to owners specifications. Please contact Ian for early deliveries. We also actively sell Optimists, H10 and H12 dinghies which are also available on the South Coast.

Mark 4 Cruiser – stock boat .

We are just completing a brand new stock boat which has been built in oxford blue topsides, with a double white waterline and standard grey deck.

The boat is currently available in the standard specification but this level of equipment can be enhanced to suit the owners requirements. The starting level of equipment includes:

Centreboard , rudder and tiller assembly, stem head and shroud points, keel band , self bailers, toe straps, mainsheet and genoa sheet, mast and boom, kicking strap and mainsail and genoa. The boat has been tested to the RCD standards and this includes air testing for buoyancy.SOLD


Mark 4 Wayfarer Cruiser – brand new

We have now got a brand new Wayfarer in stock with the following specification:

Oxford blue hull with double white waterline and standard grey deck.

Genoa furler, slab reefing for mainsail, centre mainsheet with ratchet, padded toe straps, aft bench seats (removable), outboard motor pad, mooring cleat & fairlead,

Wind indicator, tidy bag , upgraded metal bailers , D section fendoff (gunwale protection) , transom protector beam , over boom breathable cover, combination  trailer trolley complete with jockey wheel.

This stock Wayfarer is ready for the coming season and could be finished with a new sail number in a matter of days but is available at a special one off discount.

Wayfarer Mark 4 Cruiser sail  number 11102 built by Ian Porter in late 2015 with an oxford blue topside, double white waterline and light grey deck.

This boat is well equipped for day sailing and cruising and has a reefing genoa system as well as slab reefing for the mainsail.

The mainsail is centre sheeted through a ratchet pulley and also has sail head buoyancy.

There is a removable rear storage box and also removable rear seats fitted.

It also has a removable outboard motor pad as well as oars and rowlocks , padded toe straps and a mooring cleat and fairleads.

The boat has a rear transom protector and also PVC D section fendoff fitted around the gunwale.

The purpose made combination trailer trolley has a removable jockey wheel and there is a spare wheel and bearings for the trailer.

Lastly we have added a brand new over boom cover .


This boat has seen little use and was brought into Emsworth as it had only been used on a handful of occasions and so appear virtually new – this is now available for sale at £7995 a considerable saving on a new Wayfarer)


Wayfarer Mark 4 Cruiser sail number 10853 – built by Ian Porter in 2012 with a mid blue topside and double waterline in dark blue and white and a grey deck.

This Wayfarer has a furling genoa system matched to a slab reefing system on the mainsail and this has a centre sheeted ratchet system present.

It also has padded toe straps , mooring cleat and fairlead.

This boat also has the removable storage box and seats with the removable outboard pad present.

The sail wardrobe is completed with a conventional spinnaker system complete with sail.

The boat is transported by a  combination trailer trolley unit and there is an overboom cover.

This is a 5unning example of the mark 4 Wayfarer and it is for sale at £7495.


Wanderer MD sail number 1450  - Vicson - built by Anglo Marine in 1999 with an oxford blue topside, white underwater sections and grey deck.

The hull has been fitted with self bailers and has a mooring cleat and fairleads.

The mainsail is centre sheeted and has slab reefing fitted. The genoa has a Harken furler.

There is a removable outboard motor pad. The boat is equipped with 2 sets of good sails plus a spinnaker plus operating system

The boat can be transported on a purpose made combination trailer trolley unit with jockey wheel and a new cover boom cover has been added to protect this lightly used and cared for package.

This good looking Wanderer is available now for £3300.


Wanderer MD sail number 1046 built in 1992 by Anglo marine with a red hull and ivory deck.

This boat has two sets of sails including 2 spinnakers and all the control systems required to use them. The mainsheet is transom sheeted through a ratchet pulley.

The genoa is also sheeted through ratchets and even the spinnaker sheets have ratchet pulleys.

The cockpit is drained through stainless steel bailers and the boat has just been fitted out with brand new floorboards.

Some of the rigging on the mast has been replaced after inspection.

There is a purpose made trailer trolley unit complete with deluxe jockey wheel.

Lastly the PVC overboom cover has just been replaced so that the boat is ready for a change of ownership.

This attractive package has been checked over here in Emsworth and is ready for sale at £2750.


Wanderer MD sail number 1031 – built by Anglo Marine in 1991 in sapphire bl;ue and with an ivory deck.

This boat has sails dating to 2011 including mainsail, genoa and conventional spinnaker (complete with all the necessary fittings).

She is sitting on a purchase made trolley which has been matched to a brand new trailer unit (combination).

The mainsail is transom sheeted through a ratchet block. The modern rudder assembly was added in 2018.

She has self bailers, and the genoa has a furling system.

The boat is protected by a fendoff fitted to the deck edge.

The inventory is completed by an outboard motor pad complete with a 3.5hp, 2 stroke Tohatsu outboard. Lastly the boat has a brand new overboom cover to protect it from the elements.

She has just arrived at Emsworth and is SOLD


 Wanderer 761. Built by Anglo marine in 1988 with a white hull and ivory deck.
This boat is in surprisingly good condition with the woodwork looking unstained.
It has good quality sails (mainsail and genoa) with a genoa furler and slab reefing. The mainsail has a buoyant head patch
There are a set of oars and rowlocks as well as mooring cleat and fairlead.
There is a flat storage cover as well as a brand new overboom PVC cover.
This Wanderer sits on a combination trailer trolley set up which also has a jockey wheel.
This is another fine example of a Wanderer that does not show its age and is ready to go without any additions and
has just been reduced to sell for £1450 .


Wanderer sail number 405.  Built by Anglo marine in 1984 and has just undergone a major refit to rejuvenate her. She has a parchment hull with ivory deck and has grey painted floor boards.

The thwart is brand new and been varnished and the centreboard and rudder have been painted in white.  The hull has been machine polished and has a cove line in blue.

The mast and boom have been re-rigged and the boat has slab reefing, genoa furling, outboard pad, oars and rowlocks and mooring cleat and fairlead. The fendoff was taken off and replaced with new  and there are new toestraps to complete the upgrade.

The mainsail is transom sheeted through a ratchet block system and she has the traditional transom horse (or track) that is adjustable.

The older sails (mainsail and jib ) have a reduced sail area but there is also a brand new mainsail and genoa included within the specification.

The boat is transported on a purpose made combination trailer trolley and the trolley has puncture proof tyres. There is also a jockey wheel to aid handling on shore.

Lastly the boat has a brand new overboom PVC cover to complete this upgrade.

Wanderer 405 has been checked over and items that were not to the correct standard have been replaced in order to give the new owner many years of enjoyable sailing. The inclusion of a brand new set of sails (both mainsail and genoa) together with new cover should guarantee that no replacements are necessary for the foreseeable future and therefore she is for sale with new set of sails at £2450 or with the old sails for £1750


Gull Calypso sail number 2840 – “Gulliver”. Built with an oxford blue topside and white bottom  with a light grey deck by Porter Brothers in 2010.

This boat has a ratchet centre mainsheet system with remote slab reefing for the sail.

The genoa has a furler fitted and there are mooring fairleads and a cleat mounted on the foredeck – additionally there is an anchor and warp.

It also comes with a removable outboard mounting, oars and rowlocks . There is some additional equipment such as bailer, sponge and odd ropes.

The trailer trolley unit is a true combination unit which also has a standard jockey wheel and it is being sold with a brand new over boom PVC cover.

The sails are in very good order as is the entire boat package and she is SOLD


Gull Spirit – sail number 2694  “Dream Chaser”  built in 1999 by Anglo Marine with an oxford blue topside and white underwater sections and deck.

This boat comes with mainsail , jib and complete spinnaker system including sail and ropes (but no pole).

The jib has a furling system and the mainsail is centre sheeted with slab reefing.

The hull has self bailers fitted as well as non slip patches on the floor.

It comes with oars and rowlocks, outboard motor pad, mooring cleat and fairleads.

The purpose made combination trailer trolley unit has the deluxe jockey wheel together with spare wheels for trailer and trolley. There is also a rear mast support for the mast and lighting board.

Weather protection is afforded by a flat PVC cover. This very complete Gull is being offered at £2950.
